Jessie Eisenhauer is a multi-disciplinary artist with a tactile approach. Ephemeral yet grounded, her practice is a circling diagram of ontological conversations and collaborations between body, material and process. Her use of sculptural and transmutable material, such as metal, clay and textiles is a corporeal investigation between the nexus of matter, mind and spirit which insists on present and reflective practice.

Drawing on place, time and being, metaphysical pathways are transversed alongside an earthly perspective that digs into the relationship between humans, nature and ecology. Discarded objects or site-specific organic material assert their own identity and sensorial experience.

Born in rural New South Wales and raised on a farm, Jessie developed a deep connection with the land and ecology. After studying Textile Design at RMIT in Melbourne, where she majored in screen printing, she explored various creative fields before completing her MA in Art at UNSW in 2022.
